Today’s post got me thinking.
How much do we expect our bodies to just forgive?
How much do we expect to put our bodies through before they ultimately shut down?
Before we become chronically diseased, chronically pained, and chronically exhaused?
According to the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental disorder. In addition, 5-10% of anorexics die with 10 years of contracting the disease, 18-20% die within 20 years, and 20% die from complications related to their eating disorder.
Don’t be a statistic.
Please get help. It’s just not worth becoming a statistic.
